What is The Garage? We are a non-profit drop-in space for high school teens. We're a safe space to come hang out with friends, grab a cup of coffee and a snack, play a game, play music, watch TV, talk over homework, and much more!
Who is Allowed at The Garage? High School Students only! Besides staff, we try to limit the adult presence in the space, but are more than happy to talk with and give a brief tour to parents/guardians.
Who Do We Serve? We serve all high school teens. Here, students are not only valued for their differences, but cherished for the unique history, beliefs, traditions, and perspectives they bring to The Garage. To that end, we work actively to connect all students so that every voice can be heard and appreciated. We value each person at The Garage, because respecting our differences and celebrating our diversity only serves to make us stronger as a community.
When Are We Open? We are open 3:00-7:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
We are able to open up during our off hours by request for certain events.
Our hours alter during school breaks, but we keep our website and social media updated for those changes.
What Can Students Do Here? Students have the freedom to decide what they'd like to do while they're here:
Listen to music, make some art, watch TV, read a book, play a video game, solve a puzzle, or playFoosball!
You can also make a reservation to meet with a counselor, reserve our conference room, or reserve our stage.
All of our events are planned in collaboration with the students who wanted to make them happen! Let us know what event you'd like to see next! What Resources Do We Offer?
Counseling Services- come in and meet with our counselor, Sara Young, Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00-7:00.
Therapy Dog Tuesdays- Every other Tuesday a therapy dog, Luke, comes in with his trainer Daia.
Tutoring- On a case-by-case basis. Let us know if you're in need of a tutor and we can set something up.
